A Globe Trotting Adventure
Robert Higgens pops in to see good old Professor Thomas Penroy only to find that he's been kidnapped. But in the true spirit of any adventure
type game, the crafty old professor managed to leave some clues to get your adventure under way.
There are a couple of game modes for those who fancy a bit more of a challenge - the usual less hints and timers to terrorize you. Not sure
that anyone uses the harder mode, think we all just plump for the traditional 'casual' game mode.
This game has some very high production values. A lot of the puzzles have many layers to them, which is true of most modern HOG adventures, but a nice rarer touch is
that objects in the hidden object scenes are also layered and are shown in a different colour on your list. This means that you occasionally have to leave
the hidden object scene to find a key to open a draw or something similar in the hidden object scene to access the extra items in the list.
This game is heavy on the HOG scenes, which lets face it, is why we play these games. The majority of the scenes are well populated, but the list of objects can be rather
long which means you can quite often collect items by randomly clicking on the scene and not even reading the list.
The menu system has a slight slant on the normal with your retractable inventory panel accessible from the top of the screen.
Unusually the developers have opted for a limited hint system where you collect special items in the scenes to increase you hint tally.
Most games prefer the infinite hint that recharges over a period of time. This does make you 'spend' your hints more wisely but can
lead to you getting stuck in scenes for ages if you've used them all up!
Refreshing to play a game not based on the dark side for a change so go give it a bash.
